creative

I thought the mix of the two genres is hard to pull off. i think you were almost there. don't have the two genres playing at different times in the same song. Do more of the two genres playing at the same time, like from 00:38 to 1:08. That part was my favorite. The transitons were smooth and the music was enjoyable, especially after 1:08. So it is a good song, on the next song mixing the two genres actually have the two genres playing together. thanks for telling me about your new songs, i like to hear from ya. Peace bro.

Thanks for getting back at me and reviewing. I tried having without that transition at 1:09 but it changed to quickly. Maybe I should try it with the light part from the intro continuing and the main chorus/trance part fade in?

thank you,

Dark to light

all of the start to about 1:30 was good but seems like random chords, not very well peiced. Every thing after 1:30 was like a shining ray of hope peiceing the chaos. I really enjoyed after 1:30, i wish you would have started it there. the chords from that point on flowed naturally and build apon a positive mood. your finish was awesome. Just work on the beggining. I am not an expert on classical music, but that is my opinion. Overall a good listen, keep up the fine work bro!

jxl180 responds:

Thanks, man. I'll keep this in mind. I don't own a midi keyboard and its hard for me to hear any flow or to piece different chords together by clicking in the piano roll, so a few songs back I started using my computer keyboard as a midi keyboard. As i have a basis for which keys are generally higher, lower, etc. it's still hard for me. So i just keep pressing and trying new things until I get something decent that I can work upon and adjust the notes manually in the piano roll.

TY.

very unique

i really like how you slow down time, i enjoyed your use of guitars. This song just needs more clearity, i know the system you are working with makes that difficult. This song matches it's title. i really like the creativity and mix of genres on this songs. this is one of my favorites of yours

=] Thanks Brad. I would really love to do this one again on a better program. I'm currently experimenting with Garage Band and if I get good enough on it, I wanna redo my really good songs off of that program and see what comes up.

ya, Dawg!!!!

ya, you're on my fav list too. I think i'll contact you later about my music. Respect.

beautiful

wow, metalkid refered me to you and he was right, you rock. this song is mind blowin. I bouncing in my seat.

very true to it's name, lol

i wasn't a fan of the beginning, but after 00:38 it was all stars, i really enjoyed the pads in the background. The pads made me feel a different emotion as they changed notes in harmony with the wierd little filtered synth. it is hard to describe random feelings from a random song. hey, man it was a good listen, thanks.

jxl180 responds:

Thank you for getting back at me. Yeah, this was also a way to see different pads that I haven't really got chance to see yet.

great treble

the melody is very good and the synths and pad are very perfected. I know from your reviews on my music that you like bass alot, lol. Me and you either have a difference in opinion or just different styles. I thought the bass was a lil to heavy distorting the song and making it less crisp and dancy. So everything in the song was great besides the bass levels, just turn it down a lil.

jxl180 responds:

Everyone has different styles and techniques, otherwise every song would sound the same. I'll try lowering the bass and seeing the difference. If it makes a significant difference and improves the sound, I'll upload the new version.

Thanks,

Chaos

things i liked alot the whole song after 00:49. The rock was hard and freakin mind blowing, i love it. The free style turn table was a great effect. after 00:49 you rocked my socks. Ok, the intro up to 00:49 was way to slow and repetitive and should be cut out to just make the song a 10/10. So work on shorter intros to songs, unless they are an intro themselves, lol. Dude i loved it though good work man.

hey buddy

it's me Bracksta, really name Brad. i'll give you the pluses. You didn't get rid of very close to all of the repition, which is not easy, so you did very well. The beat is much stronger i like that alot. i didn't get bored listening at all. You are definitely moving forward. oh, ya and i liked the expiremental vocals. tips: make some more hard melody synth that stand out over all the other parts. One thing i have found that is pretty successful. Pick a tune and carry it through out about half the song as the chorus, but change the instrument that plays the chorus every time, or every other time. if you have any questions bro jus message me. Or if you want me to review any of your work ever i will buddy. i will always give you my honest opinion. - Bracksta, peace

This is the best and most helpful review I have ever seen on NG.

Thank you so much,

finish it

the bass or lead synth is awesome. My suggestion is speed up the song and add a very stong bass kick, or beat to drive the song. Good work Miir. - Bracksta

Miir responds:

Thanks for the review, Ill see how it sounds sped up and mess with the bass drums a little. Maybe it will get me past the block that I seem to have with this song. Thanks for the suggestions.

I was a high school stud, but now that is gone and i am at Johnson County Community College. My life pretty much consists of chilling with my girl, friends, music, pizza boy, college student, and highest of all god. Check my tunage any time, peace!
